Sarah Vosen- Nutrition Specialist

Sarah began her journey into holistic medicine when she was introduced to a Chinese herbal whole food supplement company at the age of 19. Motivated by her new found energy, she researched to learn more about complementary and holistic health care. After a switch to Pre-Med studies from Chemical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and then University of Colorado-Denver, she dove into her study of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Massage Therapy at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. After 4 years of study, she earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA.

Sarah currently resides in Santa Monica, CA and practices at the Tao Healing Arts Center. She offers private treatments including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, energy work, bodywork, and nutrition. In addition, she offers low-cost acupuncture to the Westside community of Los Angeles. Sarah is also a certified teacher of AcroYoga and has taught in India, the UK, Europe, and across the US.

“Since my first taste of Chinese herbal tea, my philosophy about nutrition has shifted from one of quality versus quantity. After years of low-grade health problems, I learned that I had a systemic Candida (yeast) overgrowth and that I had to change my diet in order to become healthy. After much preparation and re-education, I took the challenge and completed a month of a sugar-, dairy-, yeast-, carb-, alcohol-, and caffeine-free diet…it was one of the hardest months of my life and it changed me forever. If I can do it, I know that you can too!”

With over 10 years of experience in the field, Sarah is passionate about educating people so that they can help themselves, whether it’s through teaching TCM, AcroYoga, or nutrition. As an acupuncturist and believer in holistic treatments, she knows that acupuncture treatments can serve you as a patient exponentially more if you take charge of your health and create a lifestyle that best serves you.

One of her favorite mantras is, “Do it because it’s fun!” She wants to help you tailor your lifestyle to create your perfect recipe for work, life, and fun! She especially wants to work with women who are suffering with the unnecessary symptoms of PMS, but is excited to work with anyone who is ready to take charge of their life through nutrition.
