<p>We are so excited to start our P2 Classes in September. They&#8217;re a hybrid of Power Plate and Pilates, with 20 minutes on the Plate and 25 minutes on the Pilates equipment. Expect to move  and sweat.</p>
<p>They are starting on Wednesday September 5th at 5.30pm and 6.30pm- you have to sign up for these classes in advance and there is a maximum of  3 people in each class.</p>
<p>You get the strength training benefits of Power Plate and the toning and flexibility benefits of Pilates ALL in 45 minutes.</p>
<p>Tell your friends and come check it out as spaces are limited. Call for more details and to sign up.</p>
<p>Classes will be held on Monday and Wednesdays and are $50 for a single session, $45 each for a 5 or 10 pack.</p>

<p>The way we see it, there are two ways to approach getting a bikini body. The first is to hit the beach without shame and then surf and paddleboard your way to a bod you’re even prouder of. But we admit that’s not always possible, so some opt to first carve out the perfect bikini shape with hard work in a fitness class or studio.</p>
<p>In Santa Monica, M7 Fitness Center is one of the top options for beginning that second route, especially in the new Power Plate Bikini Bootcamp classes currently on offer. The star trainer who devised this 30-minute muscle-shaking session is Will Caton, and he’s not afraid of rallying his trainees by painting pictures of what their butts and legs will—or won’t—look like for as you go through the high-intensity, fat-burning moves.</p>
<p>While the Power Plate machine’s vibration technology usually means less intense exercises, Caton pushes clients to their full potential with both upper and lower body moves, positioning you just-so—like doing a push-up with your fingers pushing into the platform to specifically build deep chest muscles that will keep your boobs lifted!—for optimal body shaping. Best of all, each of these classes ends with a strong cellulite-busting massage. You’ll sweat, but this session is an easy way to ensure you’ll be at your best in any bikini.</p>

<p>His group classes are in the mornings til about noon and then he available for private sessions. Evening group, up to 3 people, classes are starting very soon and we are over the moon about our &#8220;hybrid&#8221; <strong>P2 Workout</strong> starting in August- It is a 45 minute class with 20 minutes on the Plate followed by 25 minutes on the Pilates equipment. There is no workout like it on the Westside and probably the whole of LA.</p>

<p>We offer all new clients a 3 session deal on Pilates &#8211; 3 individual sessions for $165 so you can try us on for size and see how much you love our style.</p>

<p>While summer has just begun, staying fit and healthy is a necessity year-round. Someone who thoroughly understands this concept is Rachel Lotspeich, a fitness enthusiast and new owner of ESP Wellness Center.</p>
<p>Since February 2009, Rachel Lotspeich has helped transform the bodies of many 90049 residents with her Pilate’s Studio Classic Pilates Body. Most recently, Rachel expands her whole body wellness philosophy to local Montana Ave residents as well at ESP. Ideal for those who desire a low-impact workout that will elongate and tighten muscles in all areas of the body, this soothing establishment offers wellness programs ranging from Pilates, Powerplate to Infrared Sauna Therapy in a professional and serene environment. ESP studio focused on the total wellbeing of the individual so there is no “one size fits all” teaching style approach.</p>
<p>“It seems to work, as we have great clients, everybody gets along, and they come to not only workout, but also partake in the mind body connection with nutrition, massage or infrared sauna therapy.” said Rachel.</p>
<p>As Rachel gave me a tour of the studio, she shared a bit about Pilates. The Classic Pilates workout is based on the traditional, “New York method” that Joseph Pilates invented. Clients perform exercises on the Pilates equipment he had made by Gratz Industries.</p>
<p>A standard session is 55 minutes long and the client generally works out on each piece of equipment. That includes some time on the reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, electric chair, mat exercises, and of course, all of the auxillary pieces.</p>
<p>We move through the “levels” of flexion, extension, rotation, and perform a combination of the three during the workout. However, we also listen to the client’s needs and address them on an individual basis. For example, someone who really wants to work on their arms or legs. You can expect to feel a difference in 10 sessions and see results in 20 sessions. Clients gain a much better mind-body awareness and are more attuned to their posture. Obviously the more often you do Pilates, the faster the results; but even clients who workout once a week notice the improvements. We always share exercises that can be done at home.</p>
<p>Complimentary to Pilates, training on the Power Plate offers many benefits ranging from immediate improvement in blood circulation, to a variety of other measurable outcomes such as, increased muscle strength and flexibility, improved hormone levels, improved range of motion, decreased cellulite, increased bone mineral density, reduced pain and soreness and faster recovery.</p>
<p>Having been a Pilates devotee of CPB since it opened a few years ago, I can’t wait to experience what the new wellness center has to offer. With two months left of summer, I encourage you to come and experience this best kept secret for yourself!</p>
